She was raised in the suburban city of Medina, Ohio outside of Cleveland. She began singing when she was 5 years old. From age eight to thirteen, she sang in the choir for St. Francis Xavier. She also sang in the theatre. In eighth grade, she became the lead role for the musical “The Music Man,” playing the fictional character Marion Paroo. In 2003, at the age of 13, she created a 5 track CD called “Necessity,” in which she wrote and sang all songs. She sold and distributed the CD throughout her Medina Community. She attended St. Vincent St. Mary high school for two years (2004-2006).
